I was completely over all of the snow until I saw this. And then I was thankful for the weather that brought the two you an extra day of cuddles.

You have discovered that you can fit under the ottoman. And you think it’s so silly to slither your way through. You especially love when I sit on it and then act shocked when you grab my feet. You go wild! But occasionally get too excited and bump your head. We’re working on it.

You got a new barn with animals today and LOVED everything about it. You like lining them all up in their stalls, making animal sounds, and of course looking through all of the windows.

Well, today you are sick. Stomach bug sick. But the book fairies knew that we needed help and my recent book order arrived in the mail. Today I took this single image. And that was it because today my time is best spent cuddling you.

All three of us are sick at this point.  And it can be hard to be the mom…doing countless loads of laundry, taking temperatures, recording medications, and being sick myself.  But then I glanced out the window and saw this beautiful sky.  Two minutes of fresh air, my camera, and nature’s beauty can do wonders.  And I’m reminded that it’s okay {and necessary} to take time for myself.  And if that means standing in the street barefoot in my pajamas snapping pictures of the sky, well then that’s where I’ll be.  Until I’m ready to come back in and resume my labor of love.
