Early morning grass glitter. You stood at the front door waving as I crawled around the cold, wet front yard to get this shot. And the neighbors were starting their days (taking out trash, heading out for bus stop drop off, etc.), no doubt wondering what in the world we were up to. But we carried on, you waving, me crawling…because that’s our kind of normal.

My handsome little lunch date. You love pasta and call it, “pots” but you love cheese even more and call it, “chee.” So your favorite meal? Some might call it macaroni and cheese. But you know better. “Pots and chee” please!

The other day, you picked a flower. And this flower was special because you picked it just for me. I put it on the window sill by the sink in an attempt to bottle up and save your sweetness. It doesn’t matter that it’s now shriveled (or that it isn’t actually a flower at all). I will love it (and you) forever.

Now that spring has fully arrived, there is a dance of robins in the front yard every morning. You love birds and are amazed by their show no matter how many times you see it.
