A snow day for everyone else is pretty much a normal day for us. You still have a slow morning in your pajamas, tear the playroom apart by 10am, drive your cars up and down the windowsills, and prefer to go pants-free. Business as usual 🙂

Sometimes I like to take your picture when you nap (ever since I discovered I could do it without waking you). You are so peaceful and STILL. It gives me an opportunity to capture the quieter side of your super busy toddler personality.

There is something so wonderful about the pocket contents of a little boy. I found this little giraffe, refreshed after his rinse cycle.

Today was a SUPER exciting day. Your very first cousin was born! We already love him to pieces and can’t wait to visit him in a couple weeks!  You call him, “baybeeee Forrrrrr” and say, “awww” when I show you pictures of him.  I’m beyond excited to see the relationship the two of you will have as you grow.

Yesterday we had an ice storm that left everything with a slick, icy coat.  It was a wet, cold day.  But today we woke to a beautiful glittery world and the constant sound of dripping as the sun began to thaw everything out.

Finger prints.  Let’s talk finger prints.  We have a lot of them, as you can see.  And when I snapped this picture, I had a moment of wishing they weren’t there.  But I quickly realized that this is us.  Our frequently messy, love filled world.  And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I love all of the little signs around the house that someone little lives here. Like your favorite toys drying on the counter after a much needed bath.
