The moment pancakes hit the table, the breakfast scavenger emerges from the shadows. He acts as though he couldn’t possibly survive without his toddler’s help.

Today we had your birthday party with friends and family. It seems that all you needed to have super-candle-blowing-out-powers is a best buddy by your side. Certainly an improvement from your last candle experience. Click here to see the last reaction!

This evening we arrived in Charleston after a looooong day of driving. You loved the hallways of the hotel and running up and down them like a wild man. I’m not sure our friendly hotel neighbors enjoyed it but you had a blast!
{I would have never thought to pull out my camera in this dark hotel hallway if it hadn’t been for the inspiration from my friend, Holly, of Holly Nicole Photography. Go check out her beautiful work here}

You loved the porch at your aunt and uncle’s house. You were able to watch cars and trucks drive by (which you announced every. single. time.), loved seeing the birds fly around the yard, and had perfect little shelves for your favorite toys. Your kind of heaven.

Hotel life isn’t so glamorous with a toddler. There are messes to be cleaned up, the constant reminders of things we forgot, germs to avoid, and cabin fever. But then there are the drapes. Those long, white, sheer drapes that seem to flow endlessly in front of large windows. You loved the view (of the parking lot) and the perfect hiding spot that they created. I imagine many children of the past and future have and will enjoy those drapes just as much as you.
