Today was our first day of a short trip to visit your Emmy and Poppy (and aunts) in NJ. And unfortunately we weren’t just there for a visit, but also to say goodbye to my childhood home. And although I am excited to see what will come of this next chapter, I am sad to move on from a place that saw so much love. This stone wall was built by your Poppy and great grandpa (Pop Pop). And although we leave it behind (well, most of it…I may or may not have taken a stone for our home…okay, I took two), new life will continue to emerge all around it. It is my hope that another little boy will sit and dangle his feet here, and maybe feel the love and care that went into the placement of each and every stone.

If we follow the family tree, this dog is your Uncle Farley. He likes to sneak up on your and give you a big slurp on the cheek. You hate it but I don’t anticipate him stopping any time soon. He just can’t resist your sweetness!
