There is something incredibly exciting about watching the people you love most experience life’s greatest joys. When I found out that my sister-in-law and brother-in-law were expecting a baby, I was flooded with emotions. I was going to be an aunt. Ayden was going to have a cousin. Our family was going to grow. When all of the selfishness wore off, I realized…they are going to be parents. And I cried big (not so pretty) happy tears. Because you see, becoming a parent is absolutely the best thing that has happened to me. Ever. To know what they were about to experience was amazing. When sweet Baby Ford arrived in March, we jumped at the opportunity to go meet him. And we got to see this special couple transform into a family of three. I was not in the slightest bit surprised by the overflowing love or the way they had stepped into their new roles as mom and dad flawlessly. It was instantly clear to me that this was how it was always meant to be.
Welcome to the world sweet boy. I love you for making me an aunt, for being Ayden’s cousin, for growing our sweet family, but mostly for bringing your parents the greatest love life has to offer. I can’t wait to watch you grow and follow your amazing adventures (and perhaps photograph them too).
Maureen King - Megan, these are so beautiful (sorry for the broken record) – is this your sibling’s family or husband’s? – love the one of family framed in mirror! You have such an elegant eye, Your buddy Grant’s Mom still peeking in.
